Semantyczno-gramatyczna kreacja leksemu tonąć w tekstach Adama Asnyka

Abstract

This article is devoted to the characterisation of the inflectional forms of the lexeme tonąć (‘to drown’) in A. Asnyk’s poetry. The paper discusses how this forms modify the meaning of this lexeme in the context of the whole structure. The analysis shows that this lexeme imposes a variety of grammatical categories in a purposeful and carefully planned way. The forms used allow for more precise and deeper reading of the symbolic layer of the text. It proves that all grammatical elements have a significant semantic value and the artistic text becomes a unique and unrepeatable creation.
