Abstract

The object of analysis is a sense of security of the elderly. It focuses on two issues-namely the assessment of safety at the residence of the elderly and assessment of threats, which the elderly think are important for their sense of security. The analysis also included an assessment of the threats that are connected with the emergence of new lifestyles and new technologies. The opinions of older people are compared with the evaluations of all respondents. This analysis allows us to present a thesis that there exists an electronic gap between generations. In contrast, evaluation of research groups would not differ in the case of pathologies and crimes.
