| Abstrakt: | The aim of the paper is a comparative study of four constitution preambles, i.e. to the Constitution of the 3rdMay (1791), the March Constitution (1921), the Constitution of the Polish People’s Republic (1952) and the Constitution of the Republic of Poland (1997). I show the influence of extra linguistic factors (particularly the ideological and political ones) on the style of these short, but important and exceptional texts among legal documents. The three preambles (from 1791, 1921 and 1997) have a similar structural-semantic and stylistic pattern. The introduction to the fundamental statute from 1952 is totally different. |
