Logos i Sofia jako tytuły Chrystusa w świetle teologii feministycznej

Abstract

Logos i Sofia to tytuły Chrystusa mające określone miejsce w tradycji teologicznej. W pracach części autorek z nurtu teologii feministycznej następuje pewna ich reinterpretacja. Tytułowi Logos, na przestrzeni wieków bardziej uprzywilejowa-nemu zostaje przeciwstawiony tytuł Sofii, wprawdzie zawsze obecny i na poziomie lingwistycznym względem Logosu bliskoznaczny, ale jako taki dotychczas, zwłaszcza w teologii zachodniej, niedowartościowany. Logos jako rzeczownik rodzaju męskiego niesie za sobą sposób myślenia ukierunkowany maskulinistycznie, zaś Sofia – w Księdze Przysłów współtworząca świat – odsyła do symboliki kobiecej. Przedmiotem rozważań jest tu nie tylko kwestia zasadności używania obu tytułów, ale także szukanie przyczyn dotychczasowego niedowartościowania jednego kosztem drugiego, konsekwencje teologiczne takiego stanu, a także skutki przełożenia na antropologię teologii osnutej wokół każdego z nich.

Logos and Sophia are the titles of Christ that have a specific place in the theological tradition. A kind of reinterpretation of these titles occurs in the works of some of the feminist theology authors. The title Logos, as more privileged over the ages, is being opposed to the title of Sophia, that has always existed, and has always been synonymous to Logos on the linguistic level, but has also been substantially indervalued, especially in western theology. Logos as a masculine noun causes masculine way of thinking. Sofia – which in Book of Proverbs co-creates the world – refers to feminine symbolism characterizing a feminist discourse in theology. The question of legitimacy of using both titles is not the sole issue the issue here; the paper focuses at on the possible causes of undervaluation of one of the titles at the expense of the other, theological consequences of this state, and their implications for anthropology.
