| Abstrakt: | The material comes from metrical records located in the Bialystok Diocesan Archive. In these article the development of the naming system in the period of the Russian Partition of Poland is presented. The main purpose of these work was to show the frequency of two (or more) names that where given in baptism to the children of the parish Bialystok (and some others parishes) during the years 1865–1900. The difference is presented in the frequency distribution as well as in the motivates for given children more than one name. |
