Teoria i praktyka międzykulturowej edukacji nieformalnej w kontekście działań adresowanych do dzieci

Abstract

The book is devoted to the participation of children in intercultural non-formal education carried out by the citizens gathered around NGOs operating in Poland. The paper consists of four complementary chapters. In the first part, Theoretical basis of intercultural non-formal education, the author presents key issues from the perspective of intercultural non-formal education conducted within the framework of the initiatives undertaken by Polish NGOs, and thus in the context undertaken in the publication of research issues. The second chapter, Methodology of personal research, includes the methodological basis of the research project realized by the book’s author. The third chapter, Participation in the intercultural non-formal education in the opinion of children in the light of personal research, consists of empirical material compilation collected in the course of research in regard to selected elements of intercultural non-formal education. In the fourth chapter, Intercultural non-formal education in practice – examples of activities addressed to children, the instructive examples of educational initiatives aimed at children carried out on Polish territory through the use of innovative methods of work were presented. The substantive part of this publication is completed by the conclusions from personal research of the author. The list of selected Polish non-governmental organizations which take action in the field of intercultural non-formal education was attached to the work. Despite scientific nature, the paper may be useful to those who are interested in intercultural education, not only from the theoretical but also practical perspective (students, educators, teachers, etc.).
