Abstrakt: The book is devoted to the implementation issues of the intercultural non-formal education by Polish non-governmental organizations, with particular emphasis on the methodological topics. The paper consists of six complementary chapters. In the first one, Intercultural non-formal education — the outline of issues, from the standpoint of the concept of lifelong education, the author explains the nature of intercultural non-formal education and defines the notions used in the paper. The second chapter, Intercultural non-formal education as a task of Polish non-governmental organizations, begins with the characteristics presentation of the third sector’s actions in the framework of the civil activity idea. Aft erwards, the author characterizes the genesis and development of intercultural non-formal education in Poland undertaken by non-governmental organizations. The third chapter, Outline of personal research methodology, includes the methodological basis implemented by the author of the research project. The next chapter, Intercultural non-formal education on the example of Polish non-governmental organizations activities in the light of personal research, represents the compilation of empirical material gathered in the course of study, in context of the concepts and theories presented in the paper. In the fifth chapter called Intercultural non-formal education in practice — exemplifications of Polish non-governmental organizations activities, the instructive examples of educational initiatives targeted at diff erent age groups that have been applied through the use of innovative methods of work were presented. The last chapter, Implementation dilemmas of intercultural non-formal education by Polish non-governmental organizations, is devoted to the problems faced by non-governmental organizations in the implementation of educational activities. Substantial part of the paper finishes with the conclusions from personal research and postulates for socio-educational practice. Despite the scientific character of the work, due to the nature of undertaken subject, it may be useful to those who are interested in intercultural education, both from the theoretical and practical side.
