| Abstrakt: | This article is dedicated to the Polish-Latin-Latvian dictionary published in 1858 in Wilno/Vilnius. This trilingual lexicon is not known in Poland, although it has a significant position in Latvian lexicography. In the first part of the article the author presents information about the dictionary and its maker. In the second part phonetic regionalisms (such as: erring o : ó, i : y, 'a to 'e alternation, vowel reduction and different implementations of nasal vowels) are characterized. In the author's opinion these features have a lot in common with north-east Polish language of the Eastern Borderlands. |
