Rola państwa we wdrażaniu koncepcji społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu w Unii Europejskiej

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the activities of the Polish public administration in supporting the implementation of the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Critical analysis of EU policy on CSR is used to identify the areas and functions of the state in the implementation of CSR. On this basis good practices of European States (including Poland’s experience) are shown. Despite significant efforts to support CSR, primarily only promotional activities are exercised. In Poland there is no public CSR strategy and the relevant instruments for its implementation and monitoring, which would help build awareness among the various groups of stakeholders that CSR is a win-win strategy, is lacking.
