Историко-лингвистическии экскурс на занятиях русского языкa

Abstract

The importance of historical-linguistic references in practical Russian language academic courses is underlined in this paper. Didactic ехрегіепсе of teaching of Russian philology students shows that it is often necessary to comment such language facts which cannot be explained from the point of view of contemporary principles and which demand to address to history of language. That method can be successfully used by lecturers in the process of teaching on all levels of the language system. Generally, it consists in to see the facts of the language in a wide chronological context, to comprehend how they have arisen and also what stages in the development they have passed. In practice, it causes not mechanical but conscious memorizing of both words in their correct form and language principles. Therefore the historical-linguistic knowledge should be important element of the professional erudition not only for language historians, but also for practical language lecturers. It disqualifies dogmatic teaching, gives the chance to use more interesting material in forming of students’ language skills, and stimulates the students to critical thinking, to ask questions, to take up independent searches.
