Czynniki determinujące kształtowanie kompetencji międzykulturowej w procesie nauczania języka obcego

Abstract

Political and cultural changes which have taken place during the last ten years have exerted a substantial influence on the extension of International relations. The intensification of cultural dialogue stimulated by the opening of borders and access to the newest scientific and technical achievements have caused the necessity of redefining the teaching goals. Forming intercultural competence should become one of the goals of modern education. Acquainting the students with the Russian culture and the mentality of Russian people should be considered not only as acquiring a certain amount of knowledge but also as obtaining an ability to take part in the dialogue of cultures. The enrichment of teaching process with the cultural context needs the proper selection of such glottodidactic materials and procedures, activating methods of teaching, which are able to inspire the students to accomplish various communicative tasks.
