Языковая картина категории возраста в русском и польском языках

Abstract

The main focus of this article is Languages Picture Category Age In the Russian and Polish languges. Moreover, it attempts to show that the semantic category of ‘age' in Russian sayings and proverbs is primarily expressed by the ‘old young' opposition. The semantic analysis allows us to distinguish several thematic groups in which the concepts of the old age and youth are perceived in different ways. The old age mind, ехрегіепсе; the old age - stupidity; youth - stupidity, lack of ехрегіепсе; the old age and youth - stupidity; the old age weakness, illnesses, poverty, the old age - death, the old age respect, the old age temptation. There is a comparison between Dal and Krzyżanowski, the results show many similarities in some areas and confirm few differences as well.
