Коннотативная семантика «температурных» прилагательных (блок ‘холодный’)

Abstract

The author of the article describes thermic phenomena of environment and human body with the help of linguistic means, i.e. quality adjectives within the semantic range “cold hot”. The conception of temperaturo is characterised by subjectivism and relative notion of norm. Adjectives of this domain can be grouped into two opposing sets “more than norm” - “less than norm”. The aim of the article is to describe adjectives belonging to the set “cold”. subtype “having temperature below norm”. The adjectives of this set are used to denote 8 thematic groups: temerature of body, beverages, food, rooms, space, weather (climate), parts of the year (months, days) and metals. One of their feature is high frequency and widely developed connotation semantics.
