| Abstrakt: | When getting to know the world, getting the feel of it one so to say, lays upon the surrounding space a net looking system of binary oppositions. Opposition Paradise - Hell, being discussed in the article, is built in (besides those listed above) the row of the other oppositions - Sacrificed - Civil, Good - Bad, Good - Evil and is being connected with such value concepts, as Life, Death, Happiness, Richness and others. It is shown in the article how in the phraseology understood widely the images of the Paradise and the Hell of the Russian and Byelorussian naive outlook are reflected. Comparison of the material enables us to find either similarities or differences in the Russian and Byelorussian world perception. Sacral essence of the concepts and their link with religious views is shown more vivid in the Russian material, Byelorussian phraseology represents the decline of their sacral position morę frequent. The Hell is represented here as the place available for alive people. Divergences signalize about certain national mentality peculiarities of the peoples. |
