Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present how Nabokow’s memories revive the picture of his lost homeland. The detailed analysis of his liter ary works written in Russian shows that in reality, despite a common belief, the writer does not dream that one day he will return to the places he was forced to leave in the past. In fact, thanks to his creative imagination Nabokow finds the only Russia he misses in himself.
