Leksyka rosyjskiego prawosławia — próba klasyfikacji

Abstract

In the article the semantic classification of Russian Orthodox culture lexis is presented. One of the main problems is the selection of appropriate lexical items. These lexical items could be perceived as the verbal reflection of particular elements of Orthodox culture. It demands taking their both sacral and secular meanings into consideration. In attempting to precise the range of material to analyze should be considered both the elements typical for sacral culture as епископ, Литургия, церковь and terms closely connected with secular culture as заговенье, именины, крестины. Moreover, selecting appropriate lexical items should be noticed not only the expressions connected exclusively with the Orthodox culture (акафист, попадья, царские врата) but also the terms which are common for other Christian churches and denominations (исповедь, причастие, Пасха).
