Uwagi o transpozycjach litewsko-słowiańskich w antroponimii północnego Podlasia (XVI w.)

Abstract

Genetic Baltic proper names recorded in the 16th century documents of Podlasie reflect linguistic processes that took place during a direct contact between Lithuanian vs Polish and Belorussian. In some cases Lithuanian forms taken from Polish indicate Belorussian medium (Gasztold). Lithuanian adaptation to Slavonic name system of Podlasie was processing on several levels: graphic, phonetic and morphological. Adapted forms show coexistence of several substantional processes, for example: phonetic-graphic adoptations are accompanied by morphological changes as in: Dojniewicz, Dzidziulewicz, Gerwelowicz, Gorszwin, Tujniow.
