Abstract

The purpose of the article is to describe the statutes of local governmental authorities: statutes of local veterinarian and governor of administrative region. The aim of these acts is to protect the health of birds, other animals and the protection of human life and health. This problem is controlled by the Law on the protection of animal health and animal disease control (2004). This issue is very important as more and more often diseases such as Highly Pathogenic Avian Infl uenza (HPAI) are occurring.
