Abstract

„Okres amerykański” w twórczości Natalii Arsienniewej przypada na lata 1950–1997, kiedy to poetka jako emigrantka osiedla się w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Okres ten nie okazał się nazbyt owocnym poetycko. Liryczna bohaterka wierszy „okresu amerykańskiego” to kobieta tęskniąca za krajem rodzinnym, zagubiona w nieznanym jej otoczeniu, które stale porównuje z utraconą Ojczyzną. Poetka szuka oparcia w pięknie i harmonii przyrody.

“American period” in the works of Natalya Arsyenyeva comprises the years 1950–1997 when the poetess emigrated and settled in the USA. It was not a very productive period as refers to the poetic writing. Lyric heroine of the period is lost in an unknown world, misses her motherland and compares it continuously to the country she lives in. The poetess looks for support in the beauty and harmony of nature.
