Abstract

The peregrination of the image of Jesus of Mercy is of special importance among numerous similar events which has taken place recently. Its high rank is the result of the apparition experienced by St. Sister Faustine. Religious peregrination as a phenomenon has its relation to God and determines the relationship between God and people. It combines elements of ‘visitatio’ and ‘peregrinatio’. Visiting parishes by the image of Jesus of Mercy helps the faithful to learn how to discern spirits in order to avoid mistakes and be active members of the Church. Every Christian who is baptized and confirmed is endowed with supernatural gifts. To identify them and use for the good of the Church is a part of his vocation and duty. The article focuses on the problems of dynamism of relationship between God and people, God’s mercy and the image of Jesus of Mercy.
