Abstrakt: | The issue of children adaptation was presented based on the example of two immigrant groups. The results of research into two immigrant children groups were taken into consideration: Polish immigrant children in Norway (conducted in 2010-2013) and Ukrainian immigrant children in Poland (conducted in 2018). The educational process and their becoming a migrant pupil were shown from the perspective of their experiences. Moreover, the study presented the children's relationship with peers from the accepting country, their engagement and status in the group. The theory of an actor-network (ANT), created by Bruno Latour, was used. The social roles of teachers, peers, space (the one in the country of origin and the one built and emotionally marked in the accepting country) were emphasized. |
