Leksykograficzny obraz różnic i zmian w postrzeganiu nietypowych zachowań seksualnych człowieka

Abstract

The subject of the comparative analysis in the article are the names of untypical sexual behavior, e.g. biseksualizm (bisexuality), homoseksualizm (homosexuality), lesbijstwo (lesbianism), pedalstwo (gayness), pedofilia (pedophilia), zoofilia (bestiality), collected from the dictionaries of general Polish (since the early twentieth century to the present). The abovementioned vocabulary has undergone various changes: quantitative, qualitative and semantic. It is also variously classified in the dictionaries. The number of the names of untypical sexual behavior has increased from 12 in the słownik warszawski (The Warsaw Dictionary) to 23 in the contemporary dictionaries. Of note are the names that in older dictionaries were defined by the concepts of negative evaluation adequate behavior, and in the later dictionaries the definitions of the same names are neutral. Some of the same names are defined differently in various dictionaries, which indicates that the untypical sexual behavior were and are differently perceived (and evaluated) in the society. The definitions of the discussed names are completely free of evaluations of these behaviors in Inny słownik języka polskiego (The Different Dictionary of the Polish Language).
