Wyznaczniki stylistyczne publicystyki Jana Baudouina de Courtenay

Abstract

The article is an attempt at the presentation of selected stylistic features of the published texts by Baudouin. The well-known linguist’s papers abound in stylistic means which serve to express high intensity of emotions, to achieve expressiveness, and to highlight selected elements of the content. For this purpose, the author uses: syntax phenomena – first of all, parallelism strengthened by anaphora; lexical phenomena (emotionally diversified synonyms). Different types of emotionalisms can be acknowledged as a stylistic import of the texts; the author uses pejoratively marked words, as well as she creates expressive derivatives. Baudouin’s style clearly defines the system of values held by him.
