Conceptualisation des notions de langue/język dans les phraséologismes français et polonais

Abstract

Phraseologisms with the words langue/język, expressing metaphorical meanings, are a testimony of the conceptualization of the analyzed concepts in French and in Polish. This conceptualization is ordered and includes such domains as ways of pronouncing words and speaking, silence, physical feelings, character traits, states, behaviors and relationships between people. Language becomes an object performing certain activities or bearing their consequences, a tool that can be harmful or helpful. In two areas, metaphorical transfer is done in the same way in both languages (ways of speaking and silence). In most cases, however, it is realized by other language tools.
