Muslims (90% of whom in Slovenia come from Bosnia and Herzegovina) are formally integrated into the Slovenian society. If we compare the integration of Muslims in Western Europe with the one in Slovenian society we find out that they have a much better start and perspectives. This is due to a relatively small cultural gap between Slovenians and Bosnians in the European context, as well as the experience of living together in one country. The many years spent as one nationality have led to a relatively high degree of mutual understanding. However, this does not mean that Muslim rights in the integration processes are not broken, pushed to the margins of society and treated as a taboo subject. The paper discusses the contemporary situation of Muslims living in Slovenia.pl
