Implikacje protologiczne Tomasza z Akwinu

Abstract

In many scientific theories on the origins of life on earth, there is a dissonance between faith and reason. The foundation for Christian epistemology is the story of creation from Genesis with its exegesis requiring faith, whereas scientific reasoning is based on empirical research in cosmology and other fields. lt was Thomas Aquinas who managed to synthesize these two approaches. The article deals with the protological implications of the teaching of St. Thomas, which can be reduced to three aspects: creation, creation as communication and participation and creation as likeness.
