Abstract

The transformation aroused diversity in many forms, from the differences in folklorism, culture and cultural regionalisms to political aspirations. The activity in maintaining bonds or cultivating distinctions manifests itself in informal actions and institutional and organizational growth of minority aspirations. The paper is based on the research carried out in 2009 in two Podlachian localities. Their inhabitants notice the national, ethnic and culture diversity whereas minority identifications play a role in mutual relations.
