Language teacher emotion research has primarily concerned English, whereas the contexts of teaching LOTE have been relatively underrepresented. To address this gap, the study aims to investigate emotions teachers experience in the process of teaching German as a foreign language in Polish schools. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which were transcribed and analyzed employing thematic analysis. The findings indicate that teachers derive satisfaction from influencing students’ development, whereas teachers’ negative emotions stem primarily from social prejudice concerning German, and its diminished status compared to English.pl
