Motywy folklorystyczne w Nocy rabinowej Tadeusza Micińskiego

Abstract

In Tadeush Mitsinskys drama Noc rabinowa (The Night of Mountain ash / The rabbis Night) the author used the Belorussian folklore motives. Their treatment Mitsinsky became object of research in given article. In the work on the article, a descriptive method was used in all its variants: observation, generalization, interpretation, classification, in combination with the methodology of contextual analysis.The article highlights the sources of Belarusian or Lithuanian folklore that Mitsinsky could use. The names of figures referring to folklore were analyzed. A connection was established between the motifs of Mitsinskys drama and Belarusian folklore. It was established that T. Mitsinsky reinterprets folklore motifs; the playwright has subordinated everything to the idea of building a Slavonic worldview, reviving the spirit of Slavic traditions and creating a new man - active and free, deeply rooted in the tradition of his people.
