| Abstrakt: | In the article the author tries to define the role of emotional factor in the process of personal name creation. The results obtained in the semantic and structural analysis make it possible to conclude that the deepest expression among primary antroponymic categories belong to nicknames originating from common names given mainly due to emotional reasons. |
