Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to analyze teaching syllabi for English, German and Russian. The author of the paper asks the: what is the purpose of second foreign language teaching. Teaching process should be based on knowledge and skills obtained during the first foreign language acquisition. It has turned out that the authors of syllabi for German and Russian in their recommendations do not take into consideration the specificity of second foreign language.
