Abstract

In Russian language dative is an element of construction with participation of many datives and among them к and по are the ones which occur most often. The cathegory of dative in constructions with preposition по not having in Polish language equivalents of parallel construction, has a composed semantic structure, which prototypical meaning is locative meaning ‘a space where the thing is moving’. The results of the description of the cathegory is schematic network model, the attribute of semantic variants joining „locative” dative with „typical” dative and a locative.
