Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of one of the most important compositions by Vladimir Korotkievich-a novel “Хрыстос прызямліўся ў Гародні” which describes complex paradoxical - in the history of Belorussia - the 16th century. The transformation of the main hero’s outlook on life is discussed. It is concluded that the anthropocentrism of Renaissance was in accordance with Vladimir Korotkievich’s outlook on life which is manifested in main hero’s features of character similar to the writer’s own features.
