Abstract

The novel “Karatieli” written by a Belorussian writer Ales Adamovic due to its many existential problems and aesthetic parameters reaches the limits far beyond the national literature in the European philosophical-intelectual context. The novelty of the approach to the topic of Katyn as well as barbarous treatment on different social levels are examined. It is acknowledged that even the most cruel conditions enable the human to perform moral choices.
