| dc.description.abstract | This article presents a review of literature and empirical studies on the role of religion and spirituality in coping with war-related trauma among Ukrainian refugees following the Russian invasion in 2022. The aim of the study was to determine the extent to which religiosity functions as a psychological resource supporting refugee adaptation to a new social environment. The analysis included 14 studies conducted between 2022 and 2024, employing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods. The findings indicate that religion can play both a protective and ambivalent role: it fosters hope, a sense of meaning, and social integration, while also potentially triggering moral conflicts and existential doubts. The importance of religious communities as environments offering emotional and material support is also emphasised. The article identifies the existing research gaps and suggests directions for future studies, especially in longitudinal and intersectional perspectives. | pl |
