Romantyzm polski: dorobek, przebieg, oddziaływanie. Studia

Abstract

Monografia jest pokłosiem ogólnopolskiego projektu naukowego zainicjowanego przez Polską Akademię Umiejętności i Uniwersytet Jagielloński w związku z Rokiem Romantyzmu Polskiego (1822–2022). Obchody dwusetnej rocznicy rozpoczęcia tego kluczowego dla polskiej kultury prądu – datowanego od wydania "Poezyj" Adama Mickiewicza w Wilnie (1822) – skłoniły do refleksji nad jego znaczeniem. Kulminacją projektu było seminarium naukowe zorganizowane w Krakowie w dniach 7–9 grudnia 2022 r. przez PAU i UJ, które zgromadziło trzydziestu siedmiu badaczy z ośmiu krajów, m.in. z Polski, Czech, Francji i Litwy. Konferencja dotyczyła romantyzmu i tradycji romantycznej w kulturze literackiej, artystycznej i intelektualnej, z szerokim uwzględnieniem historii literatury, estetyki, historii sztuki, muzealnictwa i teatru. Monografia kompleksowo omawia zjawiska związane z romantyzmem na ziemiach polskich, na emigracji oraz w kontekście osiągnięć europejskich. Szczególne miejsce poświęcono Krakowowi jako ważnemu ośrodkowi promocji literatury romantycznej. Tom podzielono na trzy sekcje: I. Style obecności; II. Interpretacje; III. Problemy recepcji, a jego redakcją zajęli się prof. Bogusław Dopart, prof. Jarosław Ławski i prof. Agnieszka Ziołowicz.

The presented monograph is a result of the scientific project initiated by the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The Parliament of the Republic of Poland declared the year 2022 as the Year of Polish Romanticism (1822–2022). Cultural and academic institutions, as well as numerous educational facilities celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of Romanticism. This intellectual and spiritual movement was essential for Polish culture, and its commencement is considered to be the publication of the first volume of the “Poetic Works” by Adam Mickiewicz in Vilnius (1822).The research project, whose culmination was the academic seminar organised jointly by well-established Polish academic institutions: The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences (its Faculty I of Philology) and the Jagiellonian University (Faculty of Polish Philology) was another form of celebrating the anniversary. The concluding session of the project took place on December 7–9 2022 in Krakow, in the premises of both these institutions. The organisers defined a broad framework for the conference, in the formula: “Romanticism and the Romantic tradition in the literary, artistic, and intellectual culture of Krakow, Poland, and Europe. History of literature, aesthetics, history of art, museology, and theatre”. The studies on romanticism were conducted by thirty-seven researchers from Poland, Czechia, Ukraine, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Serbia. Both the research project and the monograph refer to an extensive spectrum of phenomena, including: History of literature, aesthetics, history of art, art criticism, museology, visual arts, music, theatre, historical performances in urban spaces, as well as public performances and national celebrations. They also include: The reinterpretation of the previous academic findings on the Romanticism in the territory of Poland and in emigration or expatriate communities, as well as the phenomena of European Romanticism that provide a wide historical context or a platform for comparison with the Polish achievements. The monograph refers, in particular, to the cultural achievements of Krakow as one of the main centres for the promotion of Romantic literature. The works included in the monograph were grouped into three chapters: I. Styles of presence; II. Interpretations; III. Issues of reception. The volume was edited by the initiators of the project who represent the institutions participating in the project: Professor Bogusław Dopart (Jagiellonian University, Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences), Professor Jarosław Ławski (University of Białystok, Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences), and Professor Agnieszka Ziołowicz (Jagiellonian University). The edition of the monograph was supported by the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Polish Philology of the Jagiellonian University, and the Faculty of Philology of the University of Białystok.

Die vorgestellte Monografie ist das Ergebnis eines wissenschaftlichen Projekts, das von der Polnischen Akademie der Künste und Wissenschaften und der Jagiellonen-Universität in Krakau initiiert wurde. Das Jahr 2022 wurde vom Sejm der Republik Polen als das Jahr der polnischen Romantik (1822–2022) bestimmt. Kulturelle und wissenschaftliche Institutionen sowie zahlreiche Bildungseinrichtungen begingen feierlich den 200. Jahrestag der Geburt der Romantik, einer wichtigen intellektuellen und geistigen Strömungen innerhalb der polnischen Kultur, deren Beginn die Veröffentlichung des ersten Gedichtbandes von Adam Mickiewicz in Vilnius (1822) darstellt. Gewürdigt wurde dieses Jubiläum mit einem Forschungsprojekt, das in einer wissenschaftlichen Konferenz seinen Abschluss fand. Veranstaltet wurde diese gemeinsam von den traditionsreichen Institutionen des wissenschaftlichen Lebens in Polen, der Polnischen Akademie der Künste und Wissenschaften (der Ersten Philologischen Fakultät im Lande) und der Jagiellonen-Universität (Fakultät für Polonistik). Die Abschlussveranstaltung des Projekts fand vom 7. bis 9. Dezember 2022 in Krakau, Polen, am Sitz beider Institutionen statt. Die Organisatoren haben den breiten thematischen Rahmen der Konferenz auf die Formel gebracht: „Die Romantik und die romantische Tradition in der literarischen, künstlerischen und intellektuellen Kultur von Krakau, Polen und Europa. Literaturgeschichte, Ästhetik, Kunstgeschichte, Museologie, Theater“. Siebenunddreißig Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus Polen, der Tschechischen Republik, der Ukraine, Frankreich, Bulgarien, Litauen, den Niederlanden und Serbien nahmen an diesem Projekt zur Romantik teil. Sowohl das wissenschaftliche Projekt als auch die Monografie greifen ein sehr breites Spektrum von Phänomenen auf und berücksichtigen Literaturgeschichte, Ästhetik, Kunstgeschichte, Kunstkritik, Museologie, bildende Kunst, Musik, Theater, historische Arrangements im urbanen Raum sowie öffentliche Spektakel und nationale Feiern. Außerdem beinhaltet die Monographie eine Neuinterpretation früherer wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse über die Romantik in Polen, in der sog. „polnischen Emigration“ oder in den polnisch-amerikanischen Medien. Behandelt wird ferner die europäische Romantik, die einen breiten historischen Kontext und einen vergleichenden Bezugspunkt für die Entwicklung in Polen bietet. Die Monografie befasst sich in besonderer Weise mit den kulturellen Errungenschaften Krakaus als einem der wichtigen Zentren der Verbreitung der romantischen Literatur. Die in der Monografie zusammengetragenen Studien sind in drei Abschnitte unterteilt: I. Formen der Präsenz; II. Interpretationen; III. Fragen der Rezeption. Herausgegeben wird der Band von den Verantwortlichen des Projekts, stellvertretend für die beteiligten Institutionen: Prof. Bogusław Dopart (Jagiellonen-Universität, Polnische Akademie der Künste), Prof. Jarosław Ławski (Universität Białystok, Polnische Akademie der Künste) und Prof. Agnieszka Ziołowicz (Jagiellonen-Universität). Die Herausgabe der Monografie wurde von der Polnischen Akademie der Künste, der Fakultät für Polonistik der Jagiellonen-Universität und der Philologischen Fakultät der Universität Białystok unterstützt.

La monographie présentée ici est le résultat d’un projet académique à l’initiative de l’Académie polonaise des arts et des sciences et de l’Université Jagellonne de Cracovie. L’année 2022 a été proclamée « Année du romantisme polonais (1822–2022) » par la Diète de la République de Pologne. Les institutions culturelles et académiques ainsi que de nombreux établissements d’enseignement ont célébré solennellement le 200e anniversaire de la naissance du romantisme, un mouvement intellectuel et littéraire majeur de la culture polonaise et dont on situe le début à la publication du premier recueil de poésies par Adam Mickiewicz à Vilnius (1822). Ce jubilé a pris la forme d’un projet universitaire dont le point culminant était une conférence savante organisée conjointement par de vieilles institutions de la vie académique en Pologne : L’Académie polonaise des arts et des sciences (première faculté de philologie) et l’Université Jagellonne (faculté d’études polonaises). La session de synthèse du projet s’est tenue du 7 au 9 décembre 2022 à Cracovie, au siège des deux institutions. Les organisateurs ont défini le cadre thématique général de la conférence par la formule suivante : « Le romantisme et la tradition romantique dans la culture littéraire, artistique et intellectuelle de Cracovie, en Pologne et en Europe ». Histoire littéraire, esthétique, histoire de l’art, muséologie, théâtre ». Trente-sept chercheurs de Pologne, de la République tchèque, d’Ukraine, de France, de Bulgarie, de Lituanie, des Pays-Bas et de Serbie ont pris part à cette recherche sur le romantisme. Les sujets d’études de la monographie conclusive abordent ūn éventail très vaste de thématiques qui convoquent l’histoire de la littérature, l’esthétique, l’histoire de l’art, la critique d’art, la muséologie, les arts visuels, la musique, le théâtre, l’histoire des agencements architecturaux dans l’espace urbain, les représentations publiques ou les célébrations nationales. Ils proposent également une réinterprétation des résultats d’études antérieures sur le romantisme sur les terres polonaises et dans les milieux de l’émigration polonaise et polono-américaine, ainsi que sur les expressions du romantisme européen, offrant ainsi un vaste contexte historique dans une déclinaison comparative pour les œuvres polonaises. La monographie s’intéresse notamment au patrimoine culturel de Cracovie, l’un des principaux centres de propagation de la littérature romantique. Les communications publiées dans le présent ouvrage sont divisées en trois chapitres : I. Les manières d’être ; II. Les interprétations ; III. Les questions liées à la réception. Le volume est publié sous la direction des initiateurs du projet, représentant les institutions impliquées : Prof. Bogusław Dopart (Université Jagellonne, Académie polonaise des arts et des sciences), Prof. Jarosław Ławski (Université de Białystok, Académie polonaise des arts et des sciences), Prof. Agnieszka Ziołowicz (Université Jagellonne). Le livre est publié avec le soutien de l’Académie l’Académie polonaise des arts et des sciences, la Faculté d’études polonaises de l’Université Jagellonne et la Faculté de philologie de l’université de Białystok.
