    dc.description.abstractThe aim of this article is to describe the relationship between landscape, affective experience and its articulations in culture. It focuses on weird and eerie landscapes and the emotional responses they evoke. The methodological framework is provided by non-representational theories (E. Waterton), focusing on senses, affects, atmospheres, embodied practices, and the concepts of weird and eerie in the approach of M. Fisher, R. Macfarlene, T. Morton. The basic issue is the correspondence between the material, atmospheric and affective. The weird and eerie landscapes, as analyzed in the literary and photographic examples, produce the effect of perceptual and emotional defamiliarization.pl
