| dc.description.abstract | The article discusses Józef Jarema's connections with the European avant-garde circles before and after World War II. The author assumes that the pre-war contacts and creative attitude of the Krakow artist were the source of his great optimism, which was not destroyed by the war trauma. The article proves that the latest biographical research reveals the image of Jarema, who constantly trusts in the progress of civilization and culture, who treated his stays in Paris as an opportunity to broaden the horizons of Polish art of the 20 years (in practice, combining visual arts and theater) and from the 1940S he used forced emigration to continue his search for and expanding environmental relations. His Italian and French contacts allowed him to create international artistic groups and implement plans to popularize art around the world. | pl |

Stanisława Wyspiańskiego w Krakowie. Autorka prac poświęconych literaturze modernizmu, teatrowi i dramatowi, estetyce najnowszego teatru i związkom scenografii z plastyką. Jest autorką około 90 tekstów naukowych i krytycznych. Redaktorka serii Wydawnictwa UJ Teatr/Konstelacje. Wydała Projekty intymnego teatru śmierci. Wyspiański - Leśmian - Kantor (WUJ 2009) oraz Kantor. Nie/Obecność (WUJ 2019), współredagowała tomy zbiorowe, ostatnio wraz z Michałem Kobiałką oraz Brycem Leasem A History of Polish Theatre (CUP 2022). | pl |
