Teatr niezawodowy na pograniczu. Egzemplifikacje teoretyczne i praktyczne

Abstract

The axis of this article is the category of borderland. The first part presents a brief historical overview depicting the development of theories blending education and art in Polish pedagogical ideology and it points to the area of borderland of the theatre and pedagogy that has been developing in Poland in recent years – the theatre pedagogy. The second part of the article addresses the issue of the social function of the theatre in the context of building the individual ’s identity and the community on the borderland of cultures. The summary of the article includes reflections from research conducted on the north-eastern border of Poland, carried out among amateur theatres transmitting in their repertoire the cultural heritage of the place.
