Obraz magnaterii i jej roli na sejmikach w rękopisach „młodej” szkoły lwowskiej

Abstract

A wave of young historians from the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv, mainly from the school of prof. S. Zakrzewski, in her research she focused on the history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the 17ᵗʰ and 18ᵗʰ centuries. Many of their works were devoted to the magnates, their role and importance in the Polish-Lithuanian state. In their research, they also drew attention to its attitude to the role and importance of regional assemblies and the way they are used for their own politics. The vast majority of these considerations, thanks to the preserved manuscripts that are almost 100 years old, remain unknown, as well as the views or assessments they formulate. An attempt to show the findings of this “young” Lviv school may supplement the state of knowledge about Polish historiography, and at the same time show which accents were paid attention to at the time.
