Pułapki autocenzury - o Łańcuchu czystych serc Janusza Andermana

Abstract

The article presents interpretation of Janusz Anderman's literary works performed with special consideration of his manifold relations with censorship. The author who wrote books for the second circulation quite early experienced and described the pressure of auto-censorship which to a large extent accompanied the 1980s independent culture. His later works, starting with the collection of short stories A Country of the World [Kraj świata] from 1988, were devoted not only to identifying this phenomenon but also to creating literary visions proving that there is a need to constantly demonstrate one's own artistic and critical independence.
