Zapamiętane. Ziemia podlaska w twórczości Krystyny Przekop: krajobraz, ludzie, obyczaje, wydarzenia

Abstract

The article deals with the literary writing of Krystyna Przekop, a local writer of Podlasie. She is the author of poetry: Zapamiętane (2000), Życie moje (2005), and the novels' cycle: Żurawi klangor (2001), Ciernisty raj (2003), Czas utracony (2004). She wrote all her works at the end of her life. In her novels, which are pure fiction, she ineluded some events of her own biography and the history of her family. The literature portraits real people living in Białystok and the region. In these works, characterized by the psychological reflection, the writer describes the culture, tradition, customs and the historical changes in Podlasie region in the first half of the 20th century. The article shows an interpretation of the author's texts with regard to the quest of personal as well as cultural and local identity of Podlasie region.
