Codzienność polskiej szkoły z perspektywy dzieci i młodzieży ze środowiska przymusowych migrantów

Abstract

This book is a turn towards the participation and narration in the research process. By giving the voice to children and young people from the refugee background and thus, making them experts in my case, I took up the problem of experiencing the everyday life of Polish school among this group of students. In this monograph, the category of everyday life is treated as an open research program. In the course of conducted analyzes, I look into the reality of Polish school and how it manifests itself in the experiences of people who started education in Polish schools, due to the crisis in their home country and its consequences, in the form of persecution, discrimination, etc. The research project presented in the book was aimed at (re) constructing and understanding the autobiographical experiences of children and adolescents from the environment of forced migrants in the context of functioning at various levels of the world of everyday school life, i.e. the educational process, peer relations (exploratory goal). The research served to construct a theory grounded in empiricism, presented in the form of theses concerning experiencing everyday life in Polish schools by children and adolescents from the refugee background (theoretical goal). The important element of the research was also the development of participants self‑awareness related to taking part in school education and thus, the compilation of methodological solutions that could become a factor in optimizing the functioning of Polish schools (practical goal).
