    dc.description.abstractVery dynamic change is among the most characteristic features of modern economies. This explains the tremendous significance of innovation-based development factors which enable changes in economic structure, create high-tech sectors and strengthen competitiveness. These processes result from different paths of entrepreneurship, consumer-producer relations, new mechanisms of market activity, quality competition and the activity of networks of producers. At the same time, low-productivity processes might end in failure. Nowadays, economies are going through a new cycle of Schumpeterian "creative destruction", which is a result of technological globalisation in terms of very short product cycles and strong non-price competition. Economies are more open and create conditions for innovativeness. The aim of the paper is to analyse the influence of globalisation on technological development through R&D activity.pl
