Uwagi metodologiczne i terminologiczne na marginesie dystrybucyjnego opisu leksemów czasownikowych stanowiących komponent frazeologizmów polskich

Abstract

The issues discussed in this article are part of much larger research work which aims at formal syntax description of verbs that are components of Polish phrases. In this article I would like to focus on methodology and terminological network of assumed research. I use conceptual and terminological instrument and solutions proposed by Zygmunt Saloni and Marek Świdziński in Składnia współczesnego języka polskiego (Syntax of contemporary Polish language) (SWJP) (1998) to analyze verbs that are subject of my work. I consider the examination of connotative and accommodative relations as a basic tool of structural analysis. Due to specificity of the researched material, and due to existing - in my opinion, some inconsistencies and generalizations of the conceptual instrument of the above mentioned authors, I find it necessary to modify it to some extent (particularly in the scope of depiction ot connotation and phrase), as well as specify it with regard to research tools. I propose the following changes in SWJPs methodological instrumenł: 1) introducing a third unit of syntax description - apart from phrase and group; 2) distinguishing four types of non-requisite phrases: nominal, adjectival, adverbial and prepositional-nominal; 3) removing infinitive and sentence phrases from the range of requisite phrases, and substituting them with conjunction and preposition phrases; 4) introducing a loose phrase - apart from phrases: finitive, requisite and non-requisite.
