Skuteczność rent strukturalnych jako instrumentu wspierania przemian struktury obszarowej gospodarstw w rolnictwie polskim

Abstract

Area structure of an agricultural holding is one of the factors which decide the scale of production, and, what follows, the competitive position of a holding. Fragmentation of farms in Poland is still a factor which limits their development. One of the instruments helping the improvement of area structure is structural pensions. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of this instrument in the realities of Polish agriculture. The conducted analysis revealed that structural pensions influence the average size of a farm. This influence is, so far, however, very small and the process of improving area structure is slow going.
