Uczucia romantycznych epistolografów

Abstract

Emotions in this article are understood as a mind agitation state, evoked by the feelings present in the acts of verbalization. The acts of feelings verbalization which are the subject of this overview, are letters analysed by the author, and whose consequences are the recipients' emotional reactions. Emotions therefore are understood as a state of balance infringement in the attitude of a man towards the outer and in ner world. The article proves that the Romantic correspondence was infringing this balance by bringing the momentous problems and epoch events, however with smaller, in comparison with the belles-Iettres, participation of the convention or pathos. The consequence here was a greater sincerity, spontaneity, simplicity of these confessions. The author also succeeded in showing that the presence of compelling epoch matters is just as distinct in the epistolography of the greatest (Mickiewicz, Słowacki, Krasiński) as in the one of those which are less known. The epistolography of the men ofletters, due to more significant language sensitivity as well as higher creative awareness of the senders, their higher literary culture - by its artistic value would distance from - some of the performances of the others. But this is the only distance. The truthfulness of feelings, straightforwardness in presenting them, natural freshness - these are the assets of the epistolographic second row persons correspondence. The correspondence which evokes not weaker but sometimes even stronger emotions in us - the recipients.
