Антропология будущего в прозе В. Маканина

Abstract

The problem of the future, which is especially topical not only for modern literary criticism but for contemporary science in general, is examined in V. Makanin’s prose of the 1980–2000s in the anthropological and social aspects. The starting point in the study of this issue is The Forerunner while the prose of the 1990s–2000s is dominated by the dystopian genre. In the dystopia the peculiarities of the influence of socio-historical processes on a person and possible options for the future development of Russian society are explored from a literary position. During the analysis of the facts of the writer’s prophecies, including texts-warnings and futurological images in literary works, it has been revealed that V. Makanin might be called a forerunner of his time, like E. Zamyatin, A. Platonov and other writers-predictors, who outlined further anthropological perspectives.
