„Czarna dziura” czy „międzyepoka”? Tezy o poezji lat 80.

Abstract

The article is an attempt to verify the once set and today common critical notion of the literature of the 80s, having strong impact on the today’s historical literary discourse. “Black Hole” and “Interim” are the phrases that to great extent determined periodical arrangements indicating an obvious connection between the time of socio-political changes at the end of the 80s and the “turning point” in literature. However, following critical disputes and processes within the genre, one can conclude that the ninth decade of the previous century was a part of a longer process, lasting from the 70s until now, the process that has not yet been precisely named or described, and having its pivotal, key moment in the years 1984–1986, the time when attrac tive solutions for the second phase of the Polish literary modernity started wearing out.
