Abstrakt: | The article presents the contemporary trend of post-apocalyptic work as a way of sublimation of social and individual anxieties reflected in the imagination of the inhabitants of Western cultures. In the context of the scientific achievements of Prof. Sław Krzemień-Ojak, post-apocalyptic culture is interpreted as an instrument of contemporary prognosis of cultural and scientific prognosis. In my point of view the analogy between the thinking of Krzemień-Ojak on the role of contemporary anthropology and futurology and the ideas embodied in some forms of postapocalyptic narrations presenting the ideas of the "new humanities". In order to present the complex nature of post-apocalyptic imagery, I present the sources that influenced its emergence. I am calling concepts: amorfati, posthumanism, new humanities, ecology, hyper-object, affirmative nihilism, which are the sources of shaping the post-apocalyptic imagination and the complexity of the transmissions of its plot. I call on the views of Gianni Vattimo, Manuel Castells, Jack Dobrowolski. In addition, I want to point out that human-induced disasters are the element of reality whose effects are imaginable and predictable, and as a result preventive actions are possible. |
